Our Story

We're Floréal Villanova and Théo Germain, two renewable energy professionals with over 20 years of combined experience.
When we met in 2018, we were living the same frustrations you do in the field: endless sizing work, quotes cobbled together in Excel, a fast-moving market, and qualified labor nowhere to be found.

In 2020 we founded Solutions Otonomi and launched our first off-grid sizing tool. Project after project, alongside Quebec installers, that tool grew into Otonomi DX: a single platform covering your entire solar sales journey — qualifying your leads, sizing on-grid and off-grid systems, and delivering professional, ready-to-sign quotes with Hydro-Québec rebates built in.

We didn't build any of this alone in an office: every feature was co-developed in the field with local installers, electricians, manufacturers and distributors, because the industry needed it. And still today, when you call, it's us who answer.

CEO & Founder

Floréal Villanova

Floréal is a pioneer in the solar industry, having started his career in 2009 in Europe as a technical sales representative. He holds a degree in negotiation and customer relations. He moved to the United States in 2017 before settling in Montreal in 2018, where he continued to specialize in off-grid solar solutions. His deep understanding of both European and North American markets enables him to anticipate market trends and leverage his extensive network. His excellent interpersonal skills keep him closely connected to his market and stakeholders.

CTO & Founder

Théo Germain

With a background in electrical engineering and industrial computing, Théo discovered the industry during travels in Australia and New Zealand. He decided to further develop his technical skills within a Montreal-based equipment distributor, where he was responsible for engineering and sizing projects, commissioning, and implementing integrated solutions for Hydro-Québec. He also developed and supervised international projects there.
